Region 1AA and Region 2AA Substate

Austin East comes to South Greene and Greeneville goes to Christian Academy of Knoxville...any thoughts or input on these match-ups?

I don't really know much about CAK or Austin-East, but I have to think that South Greene will be very tough to beat at home with the kind of crowd that will turn up for a sub-state game. Greeneville will probably have their hands full going on the road to CAK, but they have won sub-state games on the road before so hopefully they can pull it off again. I'm hoping that both of them as well as North Greene in single A can all win and give Greene county 3 teams in Murfreesboro.

i got to see AE against alcoa and CAK this week. south greene had best be ready for the game of their life. AE has all the tools. don't know anythig about either greene teams, but i suspect greeneville and CAK is a tossup

South Greene is very fast paced and uses a killer press on defense. They forced 40 turnovers against Happy Valley and 30 against Greeneville during the regional tourney. Their shooting has been off the past couple of weeks, so I hope they get that part of their game back under control.

 

Greeneville is tough underneath with Story standing there like a brick wall. She is tough. They have some good long shooters too. Their biggest obstacle will be that they are having to overcome the loss of point guard Chandler Christopher. I think they will do well though, I am cheering for them.

 

My biggest concern is how the refs will call the games. While I am happy SG will be playing at home, I hope little Barney Fife doesn't show up, that man can ruin a good game.
