Bledsoe Warriors just got lucky tonight. Indians will win the next time when and if we meet you in Regional finals.

What happened? We got outplayed, thats what happened. I would hope we focus on the next game and not be concerned about the regional finals.

Sequatchie won the first game 4-3, which forced a second game that Bledsoe won 4-2.

 

Bledsoe hit the ball well each game, had double figure hits in each game. In game 1 in the first, Tabor was hit by a pitch and Dawson homered, 2-0. Bledsoe responded, 5 hits, 3 runs in the bottom of the first. Bridgeman drove in 2.

 

Dawson nearly got another homer later, hit it to the the fence and scored Mitchell who'd walked, 3-3. In the sixth. P Carlton had an infield hit, the late throw was also wild and scored Kilgore (runner for Houk who singled to lead off the sixth).

 

Second game, Dawson homered (11th of the year) in the bottom of the second but nobody on base, 1-0. Bledsoe tied it with some good hits next inning (Saunders RBI). In the bottom of the third P Carlton singled and scored via error, 2-1. Bledsoe tied it again with a double by Richardson, 2-2, went ahead for good 4-2 in the fifth on another hit by Richardson.

 

Ritchie got the win in game 2, Dawson in game 1. Ritchie was 7-7 batting for the 2 games (!) and the only time she didn't get on she sacrifice bunted, pitched 14 innings.

If SC can win at Dekalb...they deserve to move on. LA and Bledsoe should be a good one too.

Sequatchie isn't playing its best ball, at the worst time. They did beat CCS twice but scraped by ND, honestly a team they should have handled relatively easily. Losses late in the season were against strong opponents and teams getting it together at the right time (Coffee, Creekwood, Bledsoe, Marion). A couple of games they'd have been favored to win were canceled due to rain, maybe that could have helped keep the bats going but nothing could be done about it. All that said, a week between games (district final and region opener) is a long time and things can change. That's plenty of time to get regrouped and be refocused. I'm expecting a good performance, but DeKalb is too.
