Play-in game should be Central at Campbell Co. with Halls hosting the winner Thursday at 5:00.

Followed by Powell vs Hardin Valley 7:30 at Halls

 

I think the other games Thursday at Anderson Co. are:

5:00 Anderson Co. vs Clinton

7:30 Karns vs Oak Ridge

That is correct. Then Friday at Halls will be loosers at 5:00 and winners at 7:30. The same will be at AC on Friday. Loosers at 5:00 and winners at 7:30. Should be a fun tournament. I think it will come down to Halls, Powell, AC and Karns. What does everyone else think?

That sounds good and I hope you are right....but like I said, Hardin Valley scares me right now.

I'm sure there will be an upset or two along the way. Good luck to all the teams.

i expect ac to give everyone in their way a run for their money. foster, pack, and esepcially roberts have been hot. there is not a weak spot in the lineup and the pitching and defense is solid. when anderson county plays their best baseball, theyre tough to stop. its also a great advantage that anderson co is under the radar :popcorneater: , everybody is saving their ace in case they play halls.

Well.....they WERE under the radar. But not now. You let the cat out of the bag, Acmavsu.

Seriously, AC has a very good team and yes, they have been hot lately.

Should be a fun tournament to watch. :thumb:

well what i fear about tournament play is that the winning team doesnt have to be better than the losing team all the time, they have to be better than them once. thats what happened to anderson co last year against stone memorial (no offense, stone) anderson co overlooked them, and it resulted in their defeat. so with everyone trembling in their boots to play halls, i just want every team in the tourney to know that you only have to be better than the team your playing one time. i hope for an exciting and intense tourney. good luck to each team, but espescially my mavs!!!!

      A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.

      For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!

      They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
