These boards have been pretty boring for the most part this year. Know we have had a few good topics that brought out some of you, but this really seems like an uninterested year on CoachT when we have so many great stories going on, I don't understand why. Just hoping the postseason brings everyone back out. Heck with just the new districts, we don't know who will be playing after next week.

Good luck to all, hope some folks will start throwing some posts out.

It has been kinda slow this year, certainly not as BUSY as last year's. But I have a feeling everything will change now that the tournaments have begun.

Region 2 District 3 AA/A has been interesting this year. Pigeon Forge again has an excellent team. Coach Mosley seems to have good teams year after year and this year is no exception. They are undefeated this year in district play yet tied with Gibbs, Berean, and had a 1-0 win over Carter. Coach Lee at Gibbs has done an excellent job at Gibbs...also going undefeated but tying Carter, PF, and Union Co. And look at Berean...finishing 4th in the district but last night tying Pigion Forge. Next week should be a great week for soccer in this district...don't be surprised to see some upsets and a lot of good soccer.

Sorry couldn't resist. How is seymour doing this year, haven't heard much about that district at all. Hope coach payne is doing well up there.

Good to see the brown nosing with G is paying off! ( couldnt resist either)

Seymour is 6-5-4. They play Jeff Co. in the first round of the district tonight at 5. The Winner plays Sevier Co. the Number one seed.

As far as coach Payne is concerned you would have to ask the parents and players. I have never met the guy. I know there has been a huge change on the practice and game field just not sure yet if it is good or bad thing.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
