As I posted in another thread, wouldn't it be great if each of these regionals was a 4 team double elimination tournament instead of lose 1 the first game and go home? I guess that they don't think there is enough time to do a double elimination regional and get in the sectional game. The first regional playoff and sectional are the only games you absolutely cannot lose. Ask that great 2007 Oakland team that was 42-1 and lost to Cleveland in the sectional. The double elim could start tomorrow -- Substate doesn't start until next Friday night. My feeling is that baseball is a tournament game...not just a 1 game winner take all game. Space it out enough and with nothing but 1 dominant pitcher and you can go all the way. You find out who the best TEAM is in a tournament...or even a best 2 of 3.
