Returning players to watch

Watch out for Chad Cagle from Bledsoe County he is only a sophomore but has a very powerful arm. He is a tough kid to hit off of.

i know east tn Unaka Pitcher/SS Josh Peterson has calls from ETSU, South Carolina, MTSU, King College, Milligan College, Appalachian State, and Tennessee

Bryan Smith from Eagleville is a Junior this year who was throwing 86-87 consistently this past fall in at least a couple of showcases that my son was also at. As a sophomore he had 136 K's, with a 1.54 ERA and 11-3 record. He has great control with multiple pitches he has mastered besides the fastball.

Three players from Cookeville have alot of potential, Colby Harmon, Jared Davis and Ethan Davis. These guys have game and should put up good numbers in 2011. The Cavaliers have more good players, but watch these three.

State AA Runner up Spring Hill has players that need to be mentioned. Scarritt(Trevecca) Schubert(lipscomb)are very talented seniors. Scarritt has a excellent bat an Schubert has a big fresh arm. They both have worked exstremly hard in the off season. They just don't get any talk because columbia central is the main school in maury co.

Lebanon's Jessep Polk is likely one of the most unknown top players in Middle Tennessee. the 6'1" 195 lb. catcher/outfielder transferred from ECS in Memphis prior to his 2010 Junior Season. He was the starting catcher at ECS his Freshman and Sophomore years, however was selected All District 9 AAA as a Center fielder his Junior year at Lebanon. He hit .406 with 4 HR, 2 triples, 5 doubles, and 30 RBI. In the summer he split the catching duties for the 18U Franklin Outlaws and played some outfield.

Lucas Pippenger of Wayne Co. 6'1" 220lb catcher. .562 avg with 9 HR's. Threw out 56% of base stealers. Will be a senior next year.

Thats impressive. I'd like to hear more about him. Does Wayne County have a website? Where does he play summerball?

I played with him over the summer, he is probably the best player i have ever played with. He played for columbia post 19 junior team. He can stroke the ball

From Upperman High School watch Zach Youngblood , Chris Large, Daniel Taylor and Zack Bryant

Friendship has some quality players coming back this year two all state players coming back in Brennan Swindoll and Chris Hall and a big bat in Dylan Boyd

FCS always has lots of talent. Hall and Boyd will be senior leaders, but they will get help from juniors Wood, Gaines and Erie, along with several sophomores to round out their starting line up. Trevor Boles, a senior pitcher, will be back this year to help fill out the pitching rotation at FCS.
