Runnin Rebels....he cant be serious...its obvious to me he wasnt even at the scrimmage in the spring, had he been then there would be no way he says that. If he didnt realize west forced 7 fumble that scrimmage and 5 were recovered by west. Lucky for central the posession was returned after turnovers. Some people crack me up. Ow and to correct u again, you seem to need alot of correction catcall, central didnt score a single time against wests starting defense. To make my arguement even stronger Christian Francis, wests 3 year starter at QB, didn't even participate in spring ball he was still recovering from a prior surgery.

i agree..right now west has the team to make a real splash this year, people think that west cant win the close games against maryville, farragut, catholic, fulton, and bearden..it's football any team can be beaten. its the teams that can close out games tht win them. last year west's football team gained a lot of experience in tight four quarter games, and thats what makes a team better, and with some improvements in the passing game west will hopefully give them teams more than just a scare.

p.s. central is garbage

U West people are truly dillusional...we did fumble a lot...and we did score on West 1st defense when the scrimmage went to dwon and distance plays and West barely broke the LOS in the first 10 plays...I don't care who the QB was that day they did not have time to throw...good scrimmage but we will see what West does this year? PS West has always sucked!

:roflol:....that'd be a big negative, but hey if there weren't retards in the world americans would be out alot of jobs. So just keep on being special lil guy you'll develop common since eventually ;)

And i like how all you did was admit that you fumbled alot, that was already stated prior by me there was no need for it to be repeated. And even knowing central had 5+ turnovers you still argue that the scrimmage was a victory for central. Well in a failing program i guess long as u keep the turnovers out of the double digits its considered a win, in that case central did fine they were only half way to ten :thumb:

wait....why are comparing west to central? central is not a good program. period. they struggle to compete in a division that west would run if they were in...win in your division central, then come talk to west.

I try not to respond to West fan's posts but sometimes you have to. Central is not a good program? If I am not mistaken Central has won more games than any other program in Knoxville. They had something like 8 or so years, maybe more, with 10 wins a season. Yes they have been down the last couple of years but with the guys they have returning and incoming freshman I look for them to start to get that program back to where it was 3-4 years ago. As far as West running through that division as you call it, were they not playing those teams like Central, Halls, Powell, a couple years ago with the likes of Maryville. They didn't run through it then what makes you think they would now? West win more than 6 or at best 7 a year and then come talk to a program that consistently won 10 games a year for almost a decade, the same amount of time you were in high school, but hey a lot of people go to school for seven years :roflol::roflol:

Everyone is talking about all the West haters in here, I never realized how many Central haters were out there. I am a 96 CHS grad and I think it is funny that everyone is trying to brag about who won or didn't win A SCRIMMAGE!!!!! Okay, West has beaten Central before. But more often than not, Central has gotten the better of West, both head to head and in the standings as well. But as many of you have said, the past is just that... the past! To all of the West folks, best of luck to you this season, cause against the likes of Maryville and Farragut you guys will need it. To my alma mater, PLEASE let's not have a repeat of last year! GO BOBCATS!!

Well Im tired of talkin to the "BEST", The last time Central played West in season Central won...period!

West has only won more than 10 games 1 time in school history!

That is all I am going to say...look at records and compare head to head...West never won this region before and you would not now.

You all would not beat OR,AC,Powell,or Central and maybe not Halls!

Get a clue!

CatCall, you're like a child......sheesh. You are also once again wrong. West finished second to Maryville in the region in 2006 and 2007. Well they may have finished 3rd in 06, but I know for a fact they were second in 07. So, therefore, they would have one the region in 07 without Maryville (and maybe 06 too). I also really don't care about the past anyway so you can just keep babbling. There's no recruiting in High School Football (atleast there isn't suppose to be).And ONCE AGAIN, West went to the playoffs that year and Central didn't. Remember when Tennessee swept Florida in basketball when they won the national championship? Gee I wonder if Florida really cares that Tennessee beat them!!! I know I sure wouldn't if I played for florida!

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
