A starter from the Lady Irish volleyball team (Father Ryan) has been diagnosed with a rare and agressive form of cancer. She is presently taking chemo,radiation,etc to combat this disease. Kelsey and her family are, indeed, very special people. We were fortunate to play club with her and enjoyed spending time with them. She has a great attitude and a strong faith. I am glad she has her team to support her during this time and agree that everyone should take a look at her Caring Bridge site to see just a glimpse of her wonderful personality

I read her story and she seems like an absolutely special person. it is indeed very rare, it only affects .7 out of 1 million kids. She is in my prayers!

She started round two of chemo last night with radiation starting in the next couple of weeks.

 

I am temporarily pinning this topic -- helping to keep Kelsey at the top of our minds as we get into season next week and lives get busy.
