Is there a list of the girls who made ALL-District in AAA this past season? If there is where is it? Or if you know please list them. I never saw them listed in a paper or anywhere. Is it a secret?

two answers: the Tennessean did not publish any all-district players as voted on by coaches during district

tournaments; however, The Tennessean did publish its own all-mid-state teams which were its own compilations based on input from coaches and other sportswriters.

you can go back in the archives of coacht.com (early June)

to see the Tennessean listings.

I don't know all of them, I do know Ashley Camp and Tiffany Birtcil from LaVergne, Kassie King and Nettie from White House, Lots of girls from Mt. Juliet and Beech. There are more, I just can't remember them.

2shot4, you just mentioned some out of 9AAA; AAA includes

8AAA, 10AAA, 11AAA, etc., all also in the Mid-state.

Someone from all the midstate AAA districts should come on and give all their lists.

Players I know about from district 8 are:

Shelbyville - Toni Jensen, Pitcher of the Year, and Corey Curlee, Courtney Price and Kristan Jock

Lawrenceburg - (Center fielder) Lori Rohling

Franklin Co. - Candace Brownfield

Tullahoma - Amber Bryant and Whitney Darlington

Lincoln Co. - Megan Hollis, MVP, Elizabeth Chapman and 2 or 3 others

Coffee County - ?

Columbia - ? Tiffany Childress and 3 others

Megan Hollis and Lori Rohling are on CSCC's roster for 2003, Amber Bryant Motlow and Tiffany Childress MTSU. Many of the above are juniors and seniors this year.

LOL Flyer--must be true!--I tried to get a complete list in the spring but never could--Coffee County, Columbia and Lincoln Co. fans, don't you want your players to get the recognition they deserve for their hard work?

If you know the names of the missing players, pleeeeez add them to the thread.

Did Brentwood really have 9 players to make All District? Impressive for a team who did not make it to the state tournament.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
