Mt Pleasant VS Spring Hill

SH won 38-13 last season bringing back a Maury Co rivalry. mTp has no beaten Spring Hill since 1994.

 

Love to see mTp get win #2 and start out 2-0 before they head to Collinwood.

 

Do not hate me Tiger fans but I see SH winning the game.

I dont know much about Spring Hill this year, but i have heard they lost a lot of players from last year. I think Mt. Pleasant can pull out a hard fought victory due mostly to the line controlling the game on both sides of the ball. I liked the way MTP was able to run the ball against Lewis County. look for #s 1,3,4 to all have a bunch of carries just like last week.

I too hate to go against my Tigers here, the boys can do it if they have a flawless game.... But that's gonna be hard to do in week 1 being the only second game in, and Spring Hill beating the snot out of Cannon Co. last week 43-6....... Hey, I'll eat crow any day though as long as it's served up by our Tigers!

i agree with you, I would like to see the Tigers win, but SH should get the w.

MTP will have to clean up the flag problem. They had over 100 yds of Pen. against LCHS. TO can hurt them. They have the potential to play SH, but have to play clean. Lewis couldn't stop their O. Only thing that stopped them was turn-overs and Flags, or the game last week would have been worse than it was. Gave up a couple of TD on turn-overs, and help Lchs score with all the flags.

 

Could be a surprise if MTP plays the perfect game.....but a tough one for sure.

I'm going out on a limb here and predicting a MTP upset of Spring Hill. MTP-24 vs SH-20. I have'nt heard how good Lewis County is supposed to be this year. But I do know they are almost always tough. And MTP handled Lewis County easily. As long as MTP keeps their penaltys to a minimum, they have a good shot at winning this one.

Spring Hill didn't appear to be as hindered last week vs Cannon County as they were expected to be, but then again it was Cannon County. Good luck to both teams. Go Raiders.

"Welcome to tha Jungle"... is that named for the visitors side with all the tall weeds and the bleachers that sit high atop a clay dirt mound?

 

By the way, you do know it's against TSSAA rules to have explosive devices like fireworks don't you?

Its just a boom--although in years past we have had fireworks too. Yeah--the visitors side could definitely use some upgrades. At least we raised the bleachers---I've been to worse!
