It's almost game day and this game has no string? What's up with the powere house Toppers and Trojans?

We are giddy sitting at 3-0 and don't want to rock the boat. No one here thinks we are a powerhouse and just hope the team shows up tomorrow and competes well. We have several years of being successful before we are even considered as a "powerhouse" - although there is no doubt we will get there!

Well, you people better get on board...'cause if you can't beat MoWest this year with all that junk in your trunk and a fancy coach and the college stadium then you better hang it up.

Science Hill 48 - MoWest 14

Don't be mistaken, we are on board 100%... just cautiously optimistic. The theme this year might be described as short on promising and long on performing.

I saw Mo West and the Hill in preseason scrimmages against a common opponent..haven't seen either in a game yet, It seems as though it will be a battle between a control type "run it down your throat" offense of Mo West vs an explosive "attack you anywhere, anytime" type offense of Science Hill. Both defenses have good hard hitting athletes that are disciplined. Don't know who has the edge in kicking game because they were scrimmages. Looks like a great battle shaping up?

It sounds like the Hill will need to shut down the ground game. Defense has been solid against the pass, but looks like the front will need to step up tonight. Last year West pounded us up front. This year we are using more of a rotation and should be strong in the 4th quarter. Big Ben, Bigcat, Miles, Fridge, and others will need big games. LBs have been solid, Payne & Higgins will continue to get to the ball. The secondary has been much better than what they showed in the preseason. Coverage is tight and they like to hit.

Offense just needs to be consistent, avoid turnovers, and get the ball to playmakers, Adams, both, Mitchell, and Aaron (Catch the ball and THEN FIND) Green. Snyder has been solid and needs to continue running the offense and not trying to do too much.

For Science Hill fans, the turnaround in attitude has been the most significant thing that has happended. This years team plays to win and they play together. Fans are cautiously optimistic, and feel success is around the corner. It will take a few years for all the kids to buy in, but this team will be strong in coming years.

Opponents better get us now, because it won't get any easier down the road.

Are the Adams players that you mentioned, related to "Shorty" Adams from the late '80's? He was a great running back!

No relation, but you do know Shorty Adams is on staff as a coach? Now Shorty does have a son coming up. Not sure, but I think he is 8th or 9th grade this year.
