No Ross Shelton....No Bart Browder. :popcorneater:

True, but they have the Sutton kid who has the physical tools to be a DOMINANT running back. Their line looks big enough and strong enough open plenty of holes for him to run through.

I think the Cats are better than their record, but I don't think they believe that yet. Attitude isn't everything but it goes a long way. The dissention in the community over coaching changes filters down and is bound to be a distraction to the kids.

There will never be another player like Bart Browder come through Selmer again. His 2001 season at McNairy Central was unbelievable. They were an offensive machine that year no question about it.

My brother was a junior at mcnairy in 1988 under glover and went 1-9. His senior year under browder he was 9-1. Tommy Browder is a good coach and the kids believed in him and the community wants him back.

Word is the players and community want the browder-jones duo back! Glover has compiled a 4-19 record at mcnairy thus far and was 0-10 at jcm in 2008. They did not like browder all the time but he was a winner!!!!

One big reason is not coaching , it's the fact the better talent is flowing toward the Lil school across the county!

Adamsville has a better group of programs ! From pee-wee to JR high, the kids in the county see it !

Adamsville dominated this years game, not so much cause of coaching but because the kids were better!

Except the Sutton kid, he's the real deal!

Can you honestly say if tommy browder were at central adamville would have won by the lopsided scores the past two seasons? he beat central at a'ville with far less talent! now thats coaching!

One thing that helps make a good coach seem a "Great Coach" is knowing when to get out. Don't believe that if the Bobcats had state finals type of talent that Coach Browder would have left, his ego wouldn't have allowed anyone else to take that type talent. The biggest difference is what has been stated in previous posts. During the Browder years the best talent was always on the MCHS sideline, sometimes 2 deep. Now it's a new era and the talent pool isn't greater there than it is at Adamsville. Remember Coach Browder never scored a single touchdown during all his wins, he had good and some cases great players that did that for him.

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
