Make that 35-7 Polk. Jared Allen just ran a 68yd interception back for a TD :)

He got ran down from behind and the ball taken away from him earlier in the first half. The Pirates are just out coached by the better teams the past 2 years.

End of the 3rd

Millard throws another interception at the top of the 4th. Its time to put the spread offense play book in the shredder.

P.C. converted another 4th and 1 to a td.

42 - 7. The Pirates are Monkey Stomped.

Well Im very partail to the Veer and power running teams. Its very effective at keeping explosive offenses off the field. As the game wears on it only gets harder and harder to stop. Unless you play against it 3 or 4 times a season its very difficult to prepare for especially if the team running it is big, strong and has a QB that can make the right reads. All this crap about gap assignment and filling gaps may work for a series or 2 but all that eventually breaks down and its off to the races. especially if you have a big strong Oline and an equally as big Fullback to grind the defense into powder. Im not a fan of all the spread offenses that seem to be the choice of modern football. give me some good ole slobber knocking blood and mud meat grinders and im happy.

I Agree...

Man, talk about prophetic.......of course, there are those who will blame this on "bad coaching"; I think you're much closer to describing what happened tonight.
