What a pitiful comback. You know, whenever you start beating Cloudland in sports that draw a big gate, then you can talk a little. Until then, stick to big league chew. :roflol:

i hate to agree with the king to much but hes right Unaka def did not jam there flag in the middle of cloudlands field and im glad they didnt i didnt really feel like fighting my way out of there. they have only done it at home games i was at the Cloudland game they ran out i dont even recall them going to the middle of the field they just went to their sideline like they should.

Next time you find your way to the civil part of the county drop by and count CHAMPIONSHIPS trophies and then compare! Oh yeah, you will need more than your ten fingers! A ROUNDED SPORTS PROGRAM WITH MANY CHAMPIONSHIPS USING KIDS THAT LIVE IN OUR DISTRICT! :thumb::thumb:

You mean using kids who live in the same trailer park. I remember a gold ball from 2004 in basketball. After that, Hampton and Cloudland have completely taken over the county as far as the gate drawing sports go. You might as well get used to dusting the trophies you got cause there won't be no more. :thumb:

Not so sure the refs could find their hankies, only 1 holding call the whole game and that was on a Hampton TD. Lack of hankies might have been a problem.

no it wasnt the reffs it was just unaka showed up to play and hampton didnt. ya cant always pull for tht brother of urs just cause they loose. dont get me wrong lunsford is proly one of the best coaches in the nation in my mind. but he cant do it all himself the players got to want it and come out ready to play. if not u can loose to anybody.but i see the creekers coming out on top they just gotta come to play thts all. no mistakes either. rangers 35-12

A trailer park? I bet everone resides in a gated community in Roan mountain don;t they? :roflol: If you haven't noticed, Unaka is stedily improving in football having split with Cloudland the last four years. And you better get ready because basketball will be back strong shortly, Dominating again like in the 80s 90s and up thru 2004-5. Baseball has never slowed. I know, baseball is not important, but if you had a program it would. I like and support Cloudland, so you and I pointing out the others shortfall is without merit! I am finished with this hope you are.I offer truce and support for the fine young men and girls that all of our schools have! :thumb: moving on!

good job Rangers although i seriously wanna point out the more i think about the little stunt you guys pulled before the game the more *@#!%#% off i get. i have no problem with the way the 4 senior captains from Unicoi acted, if that had been me, i would of earholed the first one of you i got too. if the coaches new about this shame on them for allowing it too happen if you want to do that stuff on your home field by all means go ahead but when your on the road and do that stuff your just asking for it. ive never in my life been someone who thinks you need to act like your best friends with a team your playing against, heck i even refused to help someone on the other team up, but show a little class my goodness.

HECK YEA!

Unala's players were huddled at the fifty after entering the field prior to kickoff. They were huddled and jumping before breaking to the sideline. The Unicoi captains were coming out for the coin toss and saw The Rangers huddled on their emblem (UC) and they charged Unaka's huddle. The referees were there and pushed the players from Unicoi away to their bench area.I was surprised they didn't flag Unicoi or eject them but I'M glad they didn't.It wasn't a big deal really. But I do want to make clear Unaka does this as a part of theie warm-up routine every game and this is the first time this has been a issue.(most teams do the same thing or something similar. The Rangers did win 42-36.

I kept up with your Dogs and HV during our game.I would have liked to have watched that one and I must say a little suprised by the outcome.

I was surprised by the three big holes for the only real big gains of the game...of crse they scored on em...shot ourselves in the foot with penalties... two TDs brought back for illegal blocks...both teams had same amount of yardage and hit one another HARD in the mouth...really a good game

Naw, a little trash talk is fun. I don't wear my feelings on my sleeve. I'm just a very observing person and I don't really remember Unaka sticking a flag on Orr Field. It don't really matter to me; i just care about the final score. 8-)

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
