GP could greatly enhance their chances and vastly improve the linemen if the Prin. would allow a wrestling team to be started in the Burg.

They would have the ultimate name teh Highlanders and waht better feeling than to go out in a kilt over a singlet and beat a guy who knows he got whooped by a guy in a skirt....

Rowdy Roddy Piper did that years ago!

Traditionally GP has had good lineman w/o wrestling. BTW Walked by the Thicket few minutes ago & thought I saw a 3 big red trucks.

No one ever said they were no good. It would be a very beneficial tool to enhance their ability, and any others that joined. Some very impressive line backers have been good football players. Look what it did for Rivez at UT. And Ray Lewis in Baltimore.

I thought this was a great game by both teams....Very few penalties and some good hard hitting football was played tonight..I hated to see Ty fumble there at the end, it was almost a deja vu type deal of the Clint Stoener Arkansas fumble during TN's championship year. Elizabethton has a couple of really good running backs and the qb sure threw a pretty ball...Congrats on the win to the Cyclones and congrats on the great run by GP.....

    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.

    • MTD (Stanley Black and Decker) and UTM are the only thing keeping Westview's numbers up. Are school enrollments dropping in those listed schools too or just athletic rosters?
