Now just to let you know we don't have any OOC players on our team. :roflol:

Which team in East Tennessee has out of county players??? Name me the team and the player. Because I don't know of any. Its going to be real funny if the greatest region in the state doesn't have a team in the championship game. :roflol:

ok all trash talk aside. Strickland much improved. In the first game he threw passes that nearly brought rain. This game he was on target. Especially the bomb down the middle. In the second half i actually found myself wanting Mathers to run the ball rather than Strickland passing. Mathers is tough as nails. Kid took a beating tonight and it never phased him. Patton wicked good. The only reason he doesn't play at the next level is becuase he decides not too. L.J. your defensive end/running back (I think) is a beast. I see a Mathers and L.J. duo that will be hard to stop. Hard fought game by both teams. As for my Bulldogs. You had an out tonight. You could have layed down tonight and used Bryson as an excuse. Everyone would have accepted that. But Fleming and Thompson made sure that was not a problem. Wilson found a way to get it done. Not a real good passing night but he did some great things with his legs. O-line stand up and take a bow. You handle a very good defense tonight. St. Cloud is clutch roll player. If you need a key tackle or block he is your guy. He is a defensive backup that comes in and delivers. It statrted out pretty rocky with penalties early. But they got it together and went to work. The talk all week was how much improved Blackman was. No one really talked about how much the Bulldogs have improved. Everyone knows now. Our defense is R-E-A-L good. Even with a couple of key players injured. On to Whitehaven. I know nothing about them. But i am pretty sure our so-called "B-" coaches (look at every thread that has said that coaching can't keep up with the talent) will have it all figured out by Friday. Great win. Go Dawgs!!!

What a crowd - What a game. We had a good contingent from Brentwood standing down in the endzone. Smyrna was the better team because:

1. Offensive Line controlled the line of scrimmage most of the game. There were times I think I could have run behind them.

2. Smyrna had the speed on "D" to contain Mathers and make the QB beat you. The Blackman QB actually played better than I expected but at times his most effective pass was the one out of bounds.

3. I thought the onsides kick call by Shadowens was a mistake. Still lots of time, your D is playing great, kick it deep and pin Smyrna back.

4. Composure - I thought Smyrna kept theres and Blackman lost it a little in the second half.

Overall a great game and congrats to both teams on great Seasons. Good Luck Blaze in Memphis. Remember to lock you doors and eat some barbeque.

Off to the Wrestling Board! :motorbike:

I had a feeling that Smyrna would come out on top. You Blackman fans really gave them some good lockeroom stuff to work with. The Smyrna D is for real, folk. I said it before, I have seen plenty of state championship games and teams and no one's D compares speed-wise to the Dawgs. This win has to feel real good for the Smyrna head man. You took down Shad twice and held off the probable winner of Mr. Football. I have said it before, Keasler is a heck of a DC who gets little credit. He has two rings from Smyrna and I hope he gets his 3rd one this yr.

Donkey, you talked smack all year. You belittled others, taunted, and was downright unpleasant over and over. I know you are hurting but you should have the GUTS to get on here and eat your crow and give SHS kudos.

2p your my hero! I wanted to say the same thing to the donkey, but I thought it best to take the high road. Well I guess I am not by making this post.

I had a coach once who said they'll get theirs just wait for it, well donkey got his last night. His son played a GREAT game, but I guess the glass of shutup juice he had to drink last night must have been too much for him and it has knocked him OUT!

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
