The West is going to be loaded next season...There were a bunch of young teams out there this season...Better make some room for Union City and another name to look for is South Fulton....Lake County and Huntingdon will be good too...

i would take my money on union city 9 out of 10 times against anyone from region 6

Union City had an uncommon number in their senior class this season...This unit started out with about 25 players...That was the last season of former coach Jimmy Fishel's time at UC...That group only lost to Martin Westview as freshmen..They had wins over Dyersburg, Dyer County and a few other AA teams...Much of their freshman doubled up and played on the JV squad and they won all but one of their games that year...They had only 3 kids go through the program for all four years..Chase Bowling came from Dyersburg with his dad and then Panetta came from Brazil for this season...There were transfers, kids that decided to play only basketball or baseball and then had one young man that lost his life in a traffic accident...No doubt in my mind if this group had stayed together, even 14-17 out of the 25, they would have gone deep into the playoffs this season....
