I must say this young man might have the talent to be starting as a sophomore for the greeneville greene devils next year. Only my opion let me know what you think?

Dont think he will start next year, if he works hard and gets stronger he could push the Stewart kid though IMO. Stewart needs too work on his passing this year, we all know he can run it, but we will have to pass more next year.

Why is the assumption that Greeneville will have to pass more? I think with most of the o-line returning along with Stewart, Shuffler and Walker Troy, the Devils will still have the horses to run the ball. There is life after Willie and BJ so why not stick with what works.

Just saying we were very predictable last year, there were times we should have thrown the ball and we didnt.

A good team with 8 in the box is hard to run on. We need to throw the ball when this happens we have great recievers lets open it up. Makes us a better team all around.

I was not attacking the team or the coaching. Went to every game love the Devils but we should pass more. Now I am not saying we should throw 30 times a game we are a running team and always will be. Lets open it up if they are stacking the line with 8 players all I am saying.

Never said you were. But just because we don't throw the ball doesn't mean we can't or even need to. Yes, if we can't develop another power back, we might need to throw more...and find somebody who can punt.

The punter was just a SOPH, and hurt his self at Grainger I think did a all right job not great. Like you said before didnt have to punt much when you score every drive. IMO when you run the spread to open holes for your backs and dont throw sometimes they just ignore the wideouts. I hope our backs in 2011 are as durable as BJ and Willie, they took some hits and keep on running the had a great year. I think Stewart, Shuff and Troy are just as good, I just would like be more balanced just incase we nned too.

I agree with ironhorse, while I know we run the ball well, I wouldnt mind seeing a pass mixed in every few plays. Just because nobody really stopped it this year doesnt mean it wont happen next year. The worst thing that can happen to an offense is being one dimensional, and I dont want to see that happen. We have the talent to have a more balanced offense, so why not?

    • Biggest position to fill is QB. Kamden was special. A 1A team that can run and pass is very dangerous.
    • That would have been Coach Benjamin who was his legal Guardian and the DB coach.  I was the LB's Coach that was barely older than the players (I was going to UT for school and had started at Greeneville since my Sophomore year when Z coached there and he asked me to help coach)
    • Going on over a month now and still nothing, rumor mill or not I think a decision needs to be made. Maybe they don’t have anyone wanting it and maybe rumor mill don’t need it they are taking this long to come to an agreement.
    • Gibson County proved last year you can win it all with 6 players and if I’m not mistaken they only played 5 in the championship game. I would expect them to be good by end of season but I think losing Hart is a huge loss.  Summer camp gives teams a preview of what to expect and it’s exciting to see where teams are at. The Fillies return 3 starters and the 6th man that is 6’2” and I think she is going to surprise folks this season.
