Here are three people that are being considered right now.

 

Tim Taylor - former Marion County coach

Shelbyville OC - I forget his name.

Lavergne DC - I forget his name.

While I would congratulate him if that is what he wanted and wish Coach Breedon well, I do not think he is going to leave the top ranked power softball program he has built at R'dale.

Top 3 guys:

 

Steve Williams (DC at Middle Tennessee Christian School). He teaches and coaches baseball at LaVergne and then drives to MTCS to coach football. If I recall, he got into it with Hester at LaVergne and never coached there again.

 

Lee Davis (OC at Shelbyville). He coached at Riverdale and Siegel before going to Shelbyville. He is a young guy. I don't think he has ever been a head coach before.

 

Tim Taylor (Former Marion County and Witwell Coach) Don't know much about him... just that he is an older guy.

I have only met two of the candidates, and know Coach Davis more than passing as he was my sons freshman line coach. Very good guy both as a coach and as a man you would want your kids around.

Good luck to Coffee County next year. They have narrowed it down to 2 people that have no head coaching experience and one that has a losing record as a head coach. Don't know why the admin don't bring in a coach that has experience winning and running a successful program. I know from a good source they had people apply that has winning records and experience at head coaching.

Usually, coaches with success are not jumping at the idea to coach a program with a lifetime winning percentage around 37 percent - dating back to 1922. A program that is 50-100 in the last 15 years, give or take a couple. That is not a slap at the current players or the staff, simply the facts.

 

Please, feel free to share these names with us who have experienced success and are willing to come to this program? A program that lacks community support and money when compared to other programs in the same area.

 

For the record, from the little I know, I really like the candidates that we have now. Especially two of them.
