Speaking of which, I heard it thru the grapevine that " you're a hooker" will be a fish eater next year.

bcb iii :flower:

I have heard the same thing but I will believe it when I see it with my own eyes! Could it have been that Mrs Susan flashed that big smile and he couldn't resist all of those beautiful purple moms?

so from what I read on earlier post is Baylor recruits all BC kids and others so what you r telling me is they don't recruit the best and that was just one example there r many other school we could look at i'm just stating tenn wrestling has work to do and again I know many are trying to change things here but again tenn is slow to change they like to hold on to the past and thanks to all who r trying to make wrestling here stronger and maybe in the next 20 years they will have a true state division instead of d1 - d2 and while d2 recruits d1 will move all d1 state champs to one public school for a dream team (that's a joke) but if your kid wanted to wrestle for a public team his parents have that option to live in that area

I am not telling you anything about recruiting. I am responding the the comment about Blair and St. Edwards and how they compete.

If you would mix in some appropriate punctuation in your text, it would make it much easier to understand where on of your thoughts ends and the next one starts.

I could care less where a kid decides to wrestle, if they all want to sign up for a private school, catholic school or boarding school, it is no issue. Just understand that it is a different kind of team than a typical public school that has some kind of criteria of geography to determine enrollment.

I have been around for years. I have watched the Bradley Coaches. They crank out state championships like it's no effort at all. There strategies evidently work. So you can ask that all day long. I don't think they care to please me, you, or the fans about if they are better than baylor. They are worried about the state championship at the end of the year. What they do works. They have the best coaching staff and the best wrestlers. They start training at as early as 5 years old and competing. Baylor comes along and picks off the best talent they can recruit. So who cares. Bradley deserves more respect than baylor could ever imagine. Just give credit where it is due!

I agree Bradley does a great job developing Kids. I would be Interested to hear of any Bradley wrestler who was Recruited by Baylor. Could you name a few?

Raider 76-

Let me know what you learn. I'll try to find a way to see if it's true.

Tex, Has Bradley not had kids move into the area for wrestling over the years? I think both programs get kids from other places. Now I dont think either recuit. I'll go so far as saying if my kid (who is very young by the way lol) had the love and desire to compete year round on the wrestling mat I would look at both places. Both Bradley and Baylor are rich in wrestling tradition! I will say its a shame they dont wrestle each other.

Big,

I really do not know who has or has not moved into the area specifically for wrestling, but I imagine it has happened. You may think they do not recruit, but that is not the information that I know. They do.

I have said it before and I will repeat it now, I really do not care if a school does recruit, let them. The schools do not own the kids. Just realize that the teams make up are going to be different when you pick and choose over a much larger population than the typical public school has. Not complaining, I am just stating my opinion on it. Teams wrestling each other is a coach's choice and I have no problem with that either. I would like to so the match up as much as anyone, but I do not care enough to even think about it.

Tex,

I ask you this, has Bradley ever had a transfer? We both know the answer to that. Yes they have benefited from transfered wrestlers. I say good for them and good for the kid that wanted to be somewhere and got that opportunity. What baffles me is you constant stance on one school recruiting. Again my belief is that neither school that starts with a B recuits.

Big,

I do not understand your comment about what baffels you. My constant stance is exactly what?

My stance on recruiting is not really in this discussion anyways, since Raider76, a person who I have known for more than way over 30 years asked a question. I can answer that question. I will give him the information and he can decide the truth of it.

But moving into a city and being recruited are two different things, would you not agree? I mean, that was your first question. If you have some specific information, that you can back up, then share it with someone who can check it out. I think Raider76 has the relationships at Baylor (even with out the help of mtnrasslin) to determine the truth one what I have for him. I will give him names on both sides of the equation. You have that?

Tex,

Again my stance is both programs benefit from being very good at what they do!

Your stance is that one recuits and the other does not? As far as your reference to moving into a city and being recruited different, are they? What enticed the family to move?

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
