ghouse
103-Jonah Smith(SD) vs Cole Holloway(Bay)- Holloway, dec. 0-3 112-Alex Kaferle(Tull) vs Tate Robinson(CBHS)- Robinson, maj dec.0-7 119-Tanner Bates(Mt.J) vs Brandon Brunner(Bay)- Bates, dec.3-7 125-Eric Feuerbacher(Blk) vs Zack Watson(Bay)- Watson, maj dec.3-11 130-Campbell Lewis(SD) vs Alex Manley(Bay)- Lewis, dec.6-11 135-Marvin Lopez(Cleve) vs Kaleb Baker(CBHS)- Baker, maj dec.6-15 140-Aaron Lopez(Cleve) vs Stuart Doster(Bay)- Doster, dec.6-18 145-Josue Brown(HL) vs Michael Hooker(Mc)- Brown, dec.9-18 152-Bradley Colbaugh(Brad) vs Chris Agnew(Ryan- Colbaugh, dec.12-18 160-McCoy Newberg(Ind) vs TJ Duncan(Mc)- Duncan, dec.12-21 171-Holden Schay(Hou) vs Chase Martino(Mc)- Schay, maj dec.16-21 189-Cody Davis(Pf) vs T.J. Holmes(Ryan)- Davis, maj dec.20-21 215-Tucker Bolton(Brad) vs Amos Mason (BA)- Bolton, pin26-21 heavy-Patrick Benson(Brad) vs Barrett Gauger(Bay)- Benson, pin32-21 InHoc, I an usually follow your logic but on this one not so much... 1) I doubt Baker gets a major over Marvin Lopez... I favor Baker in that match but calling for bonus points might be reaching... the one thing going for you is Lopez's leg defense has not been his best attribute (reference his better Greco results) and Baker has a quick and strong shot. 2) I like Josue Brown a ton and raved about his work ethic to anyone around me prior to his finals match but I can't see how anyone would pick against Hooker here. Hooker is without a doubt one of the most dominant wrestlers in the state. 3) I don't see how anyone in their right minds is picking Holden Schay at 171. I know and have known Holden and the Schay family for years and am very proud of what he accomplished but anyone picking him is ignoring a direct head-to-head result from this year. At this level of wrestling (we are talking about state champs here, not floppy new wrestlers) you don't turn around a dominant major decision very often... let alone getting a major decision of our own! 4) 189 is the weight I am the least sold on for either side. I can't see calling bonus points for either group. I would tend to lean towards DI at the upper-weights as their larger numbers typically give them far superior athletes over what DII produces (and at the upper-weights athleticism often reigns over honed wrestling skill). All of that said TJ Holmes makes that a darn interesting match as he is pretty under-rated. Edited February 22, 2011 by ghouse

bobbiwithani
130-Manley(D2)dec0-16 D2 is obviously stronger this year D2 is oviously stronger but this would deffenantly defiantly be a respectable swing match. also i believe "the stump" at 152 has the largest heart and would fight the entire match
Rumble
Jacob Stevens of SD is the 112 champion in the D1, not Alex Kaferle(Tull). Stevens beat Kaferle in the State finals.
tribal55
Before I make a prediction, I need to know who the officials are for each match.
