Region 4A Tournament

I listened to this on the radio until it was 11-4 Clarkrange and figured it was the usual 7A romp over 8A and turned it off....what a shock and congratulations to Trousdale Co. They had never lost to Trousdale Co. before. Anyone have details? Also, the region is never moved. Many years it is all 7A teams playing at Gordonsville or Watertown.

Well not all 8a teams would have been "romped" ... But Clarkrange just doesn't match up with Trousdale County and it was at Trousdale County. I had told someone that I expected Trousdale County to give Clarkrange trouble since it was at Trousdale, but I also said that Clarkrange would pull away late...guess I was wrong on that part. But as far as the tournament goes it is alternated as to which district hosts. Last year it was in Livingston as 7a hosted, and this year it's at Watertown as 8a hosted. Next year I expect the tournament to be back at Livingston.

My understanding is if the remaining coaches agree, the tourney can be moved. That seems to make sense since there would be no reason to drive to Timbuktu if you can have the game in a better area for all teams involved, not to mention a much better facility and parking situation.

I have a 7a sweep a lot of times and the tournament was never moved, though I don't like it being at Watertown. The gym is too small to be able to hold the crowds some of these teams bring. It makes it extremely crowded and uncomfortable!

Puke bags and crying towels will be available on the premises at Watertown HS Monday night in a discrete location, these are made available due to the shortage between Hartsville and Monterey, if one should be needed, just ask the person next to you

Good luck to Coach Joe Sims and his Lady Bulldogs. Its always a tall order to take on Coach Jim Brown and the Lady Blue Devils. They beat them in Celina at their last meeting. but the Hensley girl didn't play. Should be interesting on a neutral floor. I hope that all the young ladies from both squads are healthy and everyone has a safe trip to H2O Town.

 

Anyone have any idea what radio station will be carrying this game?
