This will be an epic game. Lewis Co beat a younger Waverly team last year in the region semi's. I think Waverly will come out pretty strong in this rematch. It will be a one or two point game. The key will be stopping the outside shooting of both teams. The one that allows the least amount of three pointers wins!!

Lewis won 56-44. Game of two halves. Lewis hit over 70% of their shots in the first half while Waverly shot under 15%. Trull girl for Lewis hit her first 9 shots. First half score Lewis 35 Waverly 14. In second half Waverly hit better but not great and forced the tempo more causing some turnovers. Waverly cut the lead to 11 with 6:30 left. Lewis Co. coach pulled it out into four corners to avoid comeback with over 6 minutes to go. Waverly forced to foul. Tigerette center Rachael Jones hurt with 5 minutes to go couldn't return. Lewis hit free throws to preserve win. Two evenly matched teams. Lewis just was better tonight. NO one could have withstood the torrid shooting that Lewis had in the first half. Macon County isn't drawing a cream puff by hosting Waverly.

Great first half Lewis Co. Great game Haley Trull(junior) of Lewis Co....believe she had 19 maybe 21 first half points. I believe waverly is better than what we seen tonight.
