KPowers55
Just a thought. I have heard of a few kids with lazer rocket arms, just wanted wanted to know about who everyone thinks the top pitcher in the state is
CHSBaseball2012
Daniel Norris- Science Hill When I saw him last, he was consistent 92-94.. he can bump it up a few more mph too. Stephen Gant- Riverside I haven't seen him throw, but I've heard he's in the 89-91 range. David Hess- Tullahoma He hasn't gotten near as much recognition as he deserves. He is currently 6-1 with a 0.36 ERA and he is leading the state in strikeouts. He topped at 93 last summer for the Tennessee Twisters, and from what I've seen this year, he's been anywhere from 89-94.
CHSBaseball2012
Another flamethrower is Jordan Sheffield from Tullahoma. As a freshman he topped at 90 mph, and as a sophomore he has topped at 93. He is consistent 88-91 and will be a very special player as he progresses. makeAplay
Norris got beat by houston and Riverside beat them last night. Guess he does not throw as hard as everyone says he does.
Wildcat13
As much as I like Hess and Sheffield from Tullahoma, they are a little over hyped. Don't get me wrong they are good (not great) High School arms. Saying that I have yet to see them beat a quality team. Been watching these guys over the last couple of years and have yet to see the speeds talked about on here.
chs4life
Saw a radar gun from a legit scout last night and Hess hit a high of 92.

Hard to believe he is leading the state in strikeouts when Gant has double digit strikouts in every game he has pitched
crazy_cowboy89
I would like to see a comparision of impressive numbers between Norris and Gant.
FARRAGUTADGRAD
I would like to see a comparision of impressive numbers between Norris and Gant. Daniel Norris plays in AAA. Stephen Gant plays in A. There should be absolutely no comparing the two when it comes to strikeouts, W/L, etc. Bottom line is D-No is 1st round pick and Gant is a college player. There you go.
