We will throw Rippy. He beat Eagleville in the reg season. We must cut out the amount of errors we put up in the district tournament to beat Eagleville. I hear Eagleville has some new Warriors on the team. Who cares lets play.

Since both teams go to sectional win or lose, wouldn't you want to hold Rippy till Friday. Lose Friday and you go home. Just seems Friday's game is more important than this one. Unless Carcuff is ready again by Friday, then it wouldn't matter; but I would have to be very confident that he will be.

I believe Jarod will be good for Friday since he only threw 71 pitches lastnight. How many did Smith throw.

Congrads to the Eagleville Warriors. Your pitcher throwed a great game. I think Blackman are done also, see if can get some of there players to come and play.

Would it be fair to refer to Cascade Champions as the Cascade "Eagles" Mr.10? I didn't think so, people who live in glass houses should not throw rocks. If my memory is correct Cascade's team has transfers from Shelbyville (hint) and Tullahoma but everyone set out the required amount of time for a transfer. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the Cascade coaches and players, I'm really glad they don't share your views.

So you're saying that when Cascade started winning a few years ago that they didn't pull players from Shelbyville Central for baseball and especially football, really... and to this day they're not, really... because I work in Shelbyville almost daily and know how many players Cascade pulls. The boys that transfer whether from Central to Cascade or wherever to Eagleville sacrifice a year of eligibility so get off your horse. The boys for Cascade and Eagleville put their time and sweat in and we as fans and parents need to support them and leave cheap shots out of it. Maybe Cascade will put it on the Summertown boys. They only beat Cornersville 1-0.

Nice shot Cascade10. I remember a few years ago Cascade made marked improvement in their football team due to an influx of transfers from Shelbyville. You all were jokingly known around the region as the "Golden Champions". I don't begrudge any school the use of transfers as long as TSSAA guidelines and procedures are followed correctly and the student athletes eligibility is not compromised. Cascade has reaped the benefits of a few transfers as EHS is now doing so in baseball.

I respectfully ask you to quit taking shots at programs. Having competed against people from Cascade and having various associations with people from Cascade I have the utmost respect for the school, athletic programs, and the community. I have known Coach Parker for years and he is a great guy. Same thing for Coach Bassham.

I certainly hope the rest of the Cascade supporters do not share your same view regarding the use of transfers.

Good luck to both teams in the sectional. It would be cool to see both of them represent District 9A in the spring fling.

Y'all Be Blessed

They could've got a pitcher from anyone's little league team to pitch. Cascade's raggedy infield defense, beat themselves. You gotta make the Easy plays. You gotta know by now what's going on, on the field.

Kudos to Eagleville, you have a class act program over there, no other place we go is as cool as ya'll. We've fought our way out of too many Crazy Christian schools to not tip our hat to ya'll.

Your coaching staff has obviously worked well w/ your boys to have them prepared. Appears you guys make a line up to Win!

I'm sure Cascade10 can think of some kids who came from Shelbyville that now play for Cascade. Transfers from other schools in Rutherford County weren't the reason for the loss. Cascade had mental errors on the field ( not knowing where the play was), actual errors, and a lack of aggression at the plate with runners on base. Yes, some of the called third strikes appeared to be off the plate from my view, but kids are taught to "guard" the plate with two strikes from a young age. In twenty years of coaching I've always told kids if its close enough for him to call it with two strikes, you should of been swinging. Got to foul it off and keep battling. Cascade has a very talented team with most of them returning next year. They stand a good chance to win Friday and should be as good or better next season. Good luck to both teams Friday!

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
