Im sure, you know how people are from Hawkins Co. I know a lot of people would like to knock some sense into the coaching staff.

I'm sure there are some coaches that would like to do the same to a bunch of grandstand coaches that have never coached a down except maybe for rec league but think they know it all. But they have more class and professionalism to stoop to that level.

If you are actually a coach on volunteers staff then you are absolutely clueless. How in the world do you not run the football to the weak side of the field and expose north? Also, how do you get a delay of game penalty on the 2nd play of the game? That is 2 examples of the sorry display I seen last night and I can keep going if you want truthsayer. I watched this stuff for too long. No way you are going to get on here and act like your right.

Your son played a heck of a game on both side of the ball. Good luck the rest of the season. As for Volunteer, it will be another long season. The coaching staff doesn't know what it takes to win games.

Thank you, it has been fun watching your brother go from a fast little guy to man over the last few years, Your O looks much better this year but I just for the life of me can't understand not keeping your talent on the field both ways. No one wants to but sometimes you have to go or blow. Good Luck for the rest of your season.

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
