Boarhog
As has been the case for the last 4 seasons Taft will travel to Clay County for the season opener. The previous contests' outcomes were all Clay victories but two were quite close: 2007 (15-0) and 2009 (26-16). Taft always has several players that have the potential to "get gone" if they reach open field. Any thoughts from the CoachT Nation?

Something about the school receiving half of the donations , rather than the football team getting 100% of it.
croz6110
Clay looked like they had some athletes at the jamboree. They should handle Taft easily.
swanson71
I'll go with Clay County, but you never know what Taft is going to have and will bring to play.

rlh
Who is this Taft team? I have never heard of them It is in Bledsoe County, NW of Pikeville. The boys there aren't there voluntarily. The Longest Yard of high school football comes to mind. It is 1 of 5 TN Dept of Children's Service's Youth Development Centers that are state-operated, hardware-secure, residential facilities that provide treatment programs for delinquent youths ages twelve to nineteen. I think it is the only one with a football team and has had one for a long time. However, they do not compete in the playoffs and aren't part of the TSSAA. BuckRider
I think that Clay has had a good preseason but those games don't matter when it comes too regular season games. Clay has a pretty good looking squad with a lot of talent coming back from last year. From what i've seen, Taft has a few good athletes this year but i believe Clay should have this game by at least three touchdowns.
