cowbellking
Vee Hambrick alcoa And as far as bench press for a running back who cares long as its decent cause last time I checked u didn't run the ball with ur arms and chest and pilling up a bunch of yards on really bad teams doesn't make you a great running back either

cyclonemusicman
I am not downing this kid at all. He looks to have a very bright future, but some of the competition in that highlight video looks extremely sub-par and most of the "big" plays were because of poor tackling that was not because he was putting moves on kids. With that being said good luck to the kid. Asheville, NC, Gattlinburg-Pittman, Austin East, maybe he just makes them look sub par.
GreenevilleVol
Sounds like there are several good 3A backs. With that being said I would have to go with Dalton Boles. Has 950 yards in 4 games, he ran a 4.47 40 at VMI's camp on the laser, a 4.0 shuttle, benches 405 lb, and squats well over 550 lb. I find all that hard to argue against but we will see where the numbers fall at the end of the season. This isn't a knock against West Greene lineman but Alcoa's line is a lot different than WG's! By the way Dalton had over 100 yards on 11 carries last year in the playoff game against Austin East.

GreenevilleVol
this kid sounds like the real deal....getting any big college looks??? Yes, I've heard he has quite a few requesting tape of his first 3 games this year. The thing that hurts him is his height. He is 5ft 8in. Hopefully someone gives him a shot. DHSFB64
I started to agree with you ...............but then a lot of other things come in to play such as the line in front of him or the teams the numbers are coming against .Yards and yards per carry are not always a true indicator, but then sometimes that's all you can go by. thats what i saw too..great o-line blocking and coaches plays made for his speed and running style..kid does have some serious moves and determation

Boles is a great player he plays with alot heart but his numbers so far this season don't mean much because of the teams they have been against ill be intersted to see how he does against greeneville in a couple of weeks but I do have a question if he runs that kind of 40 did he not run in the fastest back race at the jamboree? I wasn't at the Jamboree this year but I know for a fact he ran a 4.47 at VMI. It was his fastest time ever. At the San Antonio Army All-American combine he ran a 4.54. All I'm saying is he has some speed. Anyone running 4.4 or 4.5 does. A lot goes into a 40 yard time and most of it is technique when your getting down to those times. Dalton is a very good back that has carried the Buffs this year, but after watching Vee from Alcoa play, my vote has got to be for him. Kid is a special talent.
