Interesting match up. Two teams having trouble getting going.

 

Walker Valley plays tough at Red Bank, and Cleveland comes out on top with Chattanooga Central. For either team to make any noise in the district they gotta win this one.

How do you pick this one. WV no defense good off. Cleveland has not lived up to anyones expectations on the offensive side of ball but thier d has been pretty good....Sooooo... I don't have a clue who wins or by how much.

I'm not sure if Clevelands defense is all that good. They did stop Johnny Boy Allens wing-T when Voytic didn't throw an interception. (first game of the year for that). But gave up lots of points to K Central and Alcoa. Walker Valley's offense seems to be coming to life against a down year Red Bank team.

With that said, I'm gonna call a WV win in a close game.

Slaughter can't afford to lose this game. Cleveland coaches who lose to WV(Brown and Wilson)aren't around the next season.

The TEAM as a whole can't afford another loss. I read another one of your post that says a coach can only be as good as the players on the field. A coaching staff can only prepare their players for games they can not go out and do it for them. We have a lot of talented players but we have not been very good as a team this year: i.e. dropped passes, not blocking, interceptions, fumbles, penalties. Any and everything that could go wrong has and it is at the fault of the whole team, not just the kids and not just the coaches. Hopefully our coaches and boys can get it together and salvage something out of this year. Go Raiders!

WV doesnt have many players (playmakers) on the field, but they may have more than CHS. From an outside view, CHS just doesnt have many athletes on the field. I am not sure changing coaching staffs will fix that.

They gave up 21 to alcoa 1 td on a kick return another a short field after a turnover, against ooltewah 23 with multiple turnovers and again short field, k catholic scored37 and again turn overs and short field but that was thier worse performance of the year against chatt. central thier only win 7 points. D is pretty good considering they stay on the field alot more than yrs past.
