So you get caught cheating and still can end up undefeated?? How does that affect playoffs? We need the TSSAA in the SEC maybe we could get away with more violations!

The number of wins effect the voodoo math behind the seeding. They still have to get by Wayne County. The best they can do is 7 wins. I agree that the vacating wins vx. forfeit is weird.

I still stand by my original thought that the #1 team is South Pittsburg, the #2 team is A. Gap. and the rest of 'em are fighting for #3. From the outside looking in I don't think SP is quite as good as they were last year at this point in the season but they don't seem like they're that far off (i.e. far enough for another 1A to beat them). Stranger things have happened though...

Gordonsville just doesn't have a juicy record like everyone else on the list does. Last year they were the 2nd best team in 1a and just so happen to meet up with South Pitt in the quarters. I've seen Gville twice this year and to me they are every bit as good as they were last year and have a lot of juniors too.

Here are your Top Ten Teams for week 7. Season is half over Fans.

Class 1A Record Pts Prv

1. Wayne County (15) 6-0 236 1

2. South Pittsburg (5) 5-1 199 3

3. Huntingdon (4) 7-0 191 4

4. Perry County (1) 3-0 175 2

5. Eagleville 7-0 129 8

6. Coalfield 5-1 123 7

7. Greenback 6-1 85 5

8. Clarksville Academy 6-1 72 10

9. Sunbright 4-2 56 9

10. Columbia Academy 5-1 55 6

Others receiving 12 or more points: 11, Gordonsville 38.

G'ville will be at least top 5 after their next 4 games. I would take out Columbia Aca. and Sunbright. I would put G'ville at 5th in front of Eagleville and move Greenback to 7th in front of Coalfield.

Jo Byrns has the silver ball from last year which goes to the second best team.:roflol:

Not just to you. They are better than last year. They are playing more as a team, and the qb play is the best they've had in years, imo.

Yes, but you would have to have seen the semi game. G'Ville plays tough competition and these pollsters never seem to give credit to that. I don't think they put enough research into their votes. Anyway I guess it doesn't matter because it will shake out in the playoffs. What I would like to see is more study into the quads to ensure the 2 best do not meet until Cookeville.I realize that would be hard to do, but every effort should be made to try. If they are so called experts they should get together in November and work it out.

I'm not from that area, so you think they will be impressive against Milan. Or you thinking SP losses to Franklin County? or both?

Truthfully, I don't see Huntingdon having a chance against Milan if this is still the Milan team of years past. Now if they're having a down year, then it may be different. I feel like South Pittsburg may lose to Franklin County and slide down and Huntingdon will lose but still in the same spot.

Maybe we can make a good showing against Franklin....but truthfully we fans don't mind being held out of the poll's top spot, AlthoughI know the players take pride in it and thats the only reason I ever argue with the poll.
