Greeneville vs. Chuckey Doak

This isn't going to turn into another South Greenevs Greeneville or West Greene vs. Greeneville thread is it? Have all of us not learned from the past to just let Greeneville win these games by as much as they want and the county teams go back to playing for second place?

I have given Greeneville as many compliments as anybody on here. They have a great athletic program. Love to see the 3 county schools finish 2-4 behind the mighty Greene Devils.

Can that happen now since Grainger beat South Greene? I was hoping to see that too, cause maybe, just maybe Greeneville fans would see that the county teams are playing some pretty good football.

That would be nice to see. I think most Greeneville fans would have no problem with that. While we don't necessarily like the county schools when we play them, we rarely pull against them against other teams. Honestly, that is one of my biggest complaints about the county fans. Many of them will go out of their way to pull against Greeneville. I've never understood that. Oh well, back to the game.

I said we(GHS fans) "rarely" pull against county teams in other games. I thought that implied that some people (GHS fans) do occasionally pull against the county teams? It just isn't as obvious as the county fans pulling against Greeneville.

Who is crying about Greeneville playing in the county schools' conference? Bud was just saying that Greeneville is WAY above everyone else and the rest of the teams were playing for 2nd. Greeneville is playing where the TSSAA put them, after they decided not to play up anymore. If I were Greeneville, I might consider moving back up again though (at least in football--if you can in just one sport). They have NO competition in their conference (Football).

First of all, I said “most†because I can’t speak on behalf of everyone. That is why a used general terms like “most†,“rarely†and “manyâ€.

 

Once again, I make a comment that I think will make county fans happy (regarding them finishing 2-4), and it once again backfires. I can't even count how many times that's happened over the past few weeks. It makes me wonder, why do I even try?
