I like it that we are getting a bye. We should be able to get out of that quad rather easy if we play like we are capable of.

actually riverside gets the bye as the 2 seed in quad 3 right now. There are no district champs in that quad as of now. Cascade and Riverside will be the only district runner-ups in this quad so cascade #1 abd riverside #2. Also once everything shakes out i believe adamsville shifts back to this quad as Peabody should get in with a 4-6 record. If houston county wins out they get in at 5-5. If all teams end up 4-6 then it will be peabody.

peabody has hall and greenfield left. Should be wins for them in both games. That leaves them at 4-6 with the second tie breaker score of 7 (teams with at least 50%wins on their schedule).

White house all but got eliminated when they lost to Nashville Christian.

Houston County has Nashville Christian and Mcewen left. If they win out they are 5-5 lose one of these games and they are 4-6 with their second tie breaker being 3 so they would be out.

Loretto has perry county and mt pleasant left. I would think both would be losses so they end up at 4-6 with #2tie breaker of 4.

If this happens it looks like Peabody and Lorretto pick up last 2 spots. Now there are a couple of games in the east that could shake this up a bit one being Cosby/unaka.

Peabody getting in would knock WHH out, shift Adamsville back atop quad three and move everyone in four up one spot, giving Mckenzie a home match against Dresden. Everyone in three would move down meaning MP losses home field and travel to Forrest.

If it stays like this then Jackson County and Watertown would play 2 weeks in a row, they meet week 10 and then would meet first week in the playoffs...

The change as I understand it is if JC wins week 10 they host H20 first week. If JC loses in week 10 they travel to H20 first playoff week so either way they will get each other back to back only question is where the game will be.

Could be a sloppy game with neither team wanting to give anything away a week before having to play each other again.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
