Gordonsville will mercy rule Eagleville. I thought Eagleville would lose tonight, but they managed to win. Good job against Columbia Academy. Gordonsville wins next Friday by AT LEAST 35 and probably more than that. Goodluck.

Pretty close on this one. It seems like Gordonsville has done this to every team for the past 10 weeks. I guess it's our turn now.

Gordonsville was just way too dominant up front last night. Coen played well but Payne and Swaim flat out got it done. Eaglville has a good defense but they were just overmatched. Jernigan is a good player and played his heart out last night as did Hale. Gordonsville was just too big, strong and dominant and had too many playmakers for them to handle. Refs were bad all the way around last night. I will also say this Eagleville group got away with some late hits. I also heard from one of the people involved that Rutherford Co. Sheriffs Deputies had to escort at least two Eagleville fans from the stands due to their abusive language to Gordonsville fans and staff. I spoke with someone this morning who listened to the game on the radio and they got the same feeling from the broadcast that is was hostile over there. No place in highschool football for this.

Croz,I totally agree about the horses. Some lady friends and I were walking on the sidewalk back to our seat, and it was nerve racking having to walk behind a horses butt every time. What if they(horses) got startled and started to kick.Someone could of got hurt last night, especially kids. They should of kept them in the grass, instead of against the fence.

Also,I will probably get bashed for this, but I saw ALOT of unnecessary hitting, chop blocks, and some twisting of the heads by the eagleville team.I know emotions were running high last night, but I feel like the refs., should of done a better job than what they were doing.

I couldn't agree more. While I respect the Eagleville Program, they showed alot of unnecesary actions on and off the field. My suggestion for Eagleville, if you want to be the type of Program that Gordonsville and South Pitt are then show more sportsmanship (players and fans). Iknow most Eagleville fans are great people but a few bad apples can ruin it for every body. Refs let way too much go last night. Eagleville Coach and Refs should have done better.

There was actually some of that going on both ways. I saw it! The refs were pathetic, but it wouldn't have made a difference in the game. G'ville's line was dominate and Eagleville had no answer.

We do play South Pitt at home... The blocked punt was a crazy play, haven't seen anything like that but it should've been a td... My brother has personally witnessed a guy, jump over the line and catch the field goal and took it to the house... redkuda its been nice talking to you, congrats on the great season...

You to Wolverine, good luck to y'all in the next round.

what a great game last night!Lots of fans and noise...But I have a question for the Eagles school. Why didn't they have more bleachers for the visting side? They could of bought in some extras for the fans of G-ville.And what happened to the football announcer?Or did they have one? They sure need some speakers on the opponents side to.

Earlier, some of you guys were talking about how bad the refs., were in the game.Personally,I saw alot of chop blocks on our guys, and alot of personal crap going on to.That's my opinion,...just saying Go Tigers......

It's a newer stadium and about what most of the newer ones have, it would have been way to costly to bring in and set up and take down more bleachers. I don't think I've ever seen that happen in any high school event. I've been and no doubt y'all have too, to schools that only had maybe two or three of the small bleachers like you see at the baseball fields. Y'all have one of the old school stadiums (nothing meant by that at all) when they used to do the concrete stands and have a lot of seating back before there were so many new schools popping up and they started going to the aluminum setups. I saw chop blocks both ways for sure, don't like that but both were doing it.

FNL, that's a pretty accurate assessment. I think if you look at it from a fan perspective we could both pick out stuff, I saw at least three obvious holds with handfuls of jersey a block in the back right in front of the ref and then when #5 took that interception in he did the "Rogers championship belt motion and the refs just let it go, I'm sure our boys had their share of it as well. We had 3 or 4 idiots that I don't think really have any ideal about what they see on the field half the time. They were more or less riding the refs and I think one of them did yell something stupid and an officer was called over and warned him but I didn't see anyone escorted out. There were no threats to the staff in the press box that I heard and I was sitting close to the 45 to the right of the press box. I would hate to have 3 or 4 morons reflect a negative impresson of the Eagleville fans and parents as a whole.

Again, there was more than a little extra going on from both teams, taunting in particular from some of the Tigers as well as illegal blocks, etc...it was not one sided in that area of the game.

Those are some blue, blue glasses you guys are looking thru, your boys were no angels and the refs coulda done better all the way around. It probly wouldn't matter if I had game film to show you that it went both ways, you still would have a complaint. You think you guys don't have a few bad apples if things don't go your way at times, that's pretty naive and I'm not saying it's ok or shouldn't be handled, which it was and I'm not giving any excuses, I've already posted on the 3 or 4 idiots we had, at least I'll call it out and admit it and not just complain about the other team's players or fans, not one of you has found any fault, irresponsibility or negative point from your players or fans, not one. I'm not crying about losing, unfairness, bad breaks nor any of that mess just making a point that if you want to disect every piece of every area in and around the game there's plenty from both sides. I don't get the horses either by the way.
