Independence boys basketball coach Doug Keil has resigned effective immediately according to Williamson County Schools Athletic Director Darrin Joines.

Joines confirmed that assistant coach Jeff Parker will take over on an interim basis for the remainder of the season. Keil submitted his letter of resignation to the school this morning citing personal issues, but will remain on staff as a teacher.

Keil was named the Eagles head coach before the 2018-2019 season after serving one season as an assistant coach. Prior to Independence, Keil coached at Warren County, Lebanon and Glencliff.

The Eagles were 8-9, 5-6 in District 11-3A this season. Independence was 29-43 under Keil in two and a half seasons.

Pretty sure higher seed will host each game. No main site.

Yes, higher seeds to host in district. Same in region tournament.  9-AAA district meeting will be held Tuesday, brackets to be released later that day.
