They had an assistant coaching opening and they didnt even interview a coach who applied that had 30 years experience and 3 trips to the state tournament. I dont want to give his name, he doesnt want it out he wants to leave his current position.

That's small town bs for you. Portland can't compete in this district until they get a good stable coach. Maybe whoever they hired will turn out good.

Reed, the transfer from Lebanon, is only about 6'5. I don't believe he will do much with Anderton down low either.

Wow are you talking about Soph. Yalen Reed?  If so that stinks for Lebanon.  I did hear that Lebanon got a couple of McGavock transfers this year but don't know anything about their size, ability, etc.  Did he choose to leave Lebanon or was it a family move or something?
