Who will be their #1 and #2 pitchers?

Central will be a below average team this year....along with the rest of the teams except seqoyah. They will be decent even though they last Cooley and Allen they are returning some talent that most of the other teams don't have except for maybe 1 or 2 on each team. Polk has a few good players left from their team but not enough to make an impact. Meigs. Has alot of freshman and sophomores that will make out most of their starting line up. I could see them maybe only starting 1 senior. They will miss those three leftys in their line up big time this year. But back to central. Keegan McCall will be the ace not sure who their number 2 will be

Keegan was a senior last year. He's gone.

The Chiefs will win the District again this year! They will miss Allen, Coley, and Helms who all are playing college baseball. They have depth at a lot of positions look for Depity, McKane, Johnson, and Dalton to anchor the pitching staff. They will be able to hit from top to bottom of their lineup. Good Luck Chiefs!

I agree they should win district this year. But winning this district this year will not be a huge feat. What about some other schools this thread doesnt need to be about seqouyah ever year.haha

The Sequoyah Chiefs are playing extremely well so far.

Wins - Alcoa, Webb, Oak Ridge, Stone Memorial(Twice), McMinn County (twice), Kingston

The new bats have not slowed down their offense. They have 11 different players that have went deep this season. They have 3-4 players that have hit more than 2 HR.

Pitching has been sound - Debity, Johnson, and Mckane. J. Watson (No Hitter vs Sweetwater)

Keep up the good work Chiefs! This team has a great shot of making it to the State Tournament this year!

GO CHIEFS!

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
