HSDAD
Congrats on your first State placers. I expect to see more improvements over the next couple years. I believe that the Wildcats of Wilson Central will become the team to beat in D1 (Middle Tn). Keep it up!

TheSpadelist
Can anyone give me a break down of who placed and how they were looking while wrestling?
HSDAD
Per NWCA, I think the wildcats have only 2 seniors on the team. They qualified 8 to the big show. (3 fresh., 3 soph., and 2 juniors) One of their juniors was ranked high during the season but only won two matches @ the pig palace. They all wrestled to their potential, but I think that three performed really well. Small (126-soph) won 4 matches and almost wore a medal home. Richards (132-soph) won 5 and was the first WC wrestler to ever earn a medal at a state tournament. And of then there was John Kramer the coaches son (220-fresh). He earned a medal in one of the big boy weight classes as a freshman. This team is young and they are on the move up.
devilblaze
Eagleville also got their first ever state medalist this weekend at 160, and a freshman 106 pulled a couple of tricks out of his hat and almost got himself a medal too! Congrats to the Region Five teams that finally brought some hardware home from the show!!! Great job Eagleville and Wilson Central
JSamson7
Congrats on the medalists. As a personal friend of Hamm, I'm glad to see the program on the upswing. However, catching up with Cleveland & Soddy may be near impossible to do at this point...

However, catching up with Cleveland & Soddy may be near impossible to do at this point... I don't think anyone suggested that they would beat them next year? We are talking about a school (without any previous state medalists) that surprised everyone with their improvements. Ask the 220 about the coaches son @ the state duals(12-6)??? WC will be raising the bar in middle TN over the next couple years. If the coaches stay, they will be closing the gap.
