Tonight, I think we will see the real Lady Highlanders once again; lightening fast and hard to catch. At the sweat box, Cloudland will provide the ultimate gayla spectacle with the Landers beating Tellico Plains like they committed a crime. We will see Cloudland uncloaked and performing at the highest level since the tournament at Daniel Boone. When we play to our fullest potential, we can't be beat and we won't be beat. I can smell that gold ball right now. When we get to the boro', everybody in Roan Mt. will be worked up to a frenzy from the championship smell in the air. The King is gonna be there hollering whooooooooooo!!! all night long!!! Man, I am pumped at the opportunity these girls have. The sweat box is gonna be loud and I'm gonna reserve the stratosphere for me and you!!! :D

Hope everyone in Tellico Plains is ok. These tornado outbreaks are horrible and are becoming way too frequent. Cloudland is not an easy place to play. The trip alone is tough on most teams. I am guessing it will be a nearly 4 hour bus ride to the base of Roan Mountain. The Lady Landers are used to their small hot gym (aka the "sweat box"). It should be standing room only and will probably be full at least an hour before game time. It would be hard for any team to enter that atmosphere and win. If Tellico can pull it off, count me as impressed. My money is on the Lady Landers..........63-47.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
