REPLAY Blackman-Bradley

It seems to me that it's nearly impossible to get a replay...especially in this situation because the state tournament is just a few days away. It'd be nice but I don't see it happening....

How about play better in the second half, don't fall down with the ball and never ever make a move toward an offical and a replay would not be necessary! :popcorneater:

How about Blackman should've played better in the first half? They spent the next half catching up. A tied score means they scored the same amount of points!

Tito, reach me a tissue! Blackman is playing next week, Bradley is on coacht wanting to play next week. :popcorneater:

Been coaching high school basketball off and on for 25 years and could care less about Bradley or Blackman however I cant beleive a referee made that call at that time in the game. We all know that regardless of what the assigners say we have good referees and bad. In 5aa we have several good and several bad and I dont have to say who is good or bad because the coaches know. The bottom line is that the only people in control of high school sports that have no one to answer to is referees. They control the whole game and yes they do help determine who wins or loses so they should be held accountable. Maybe the tssaa will start spending money on referee trainers instead of going to Hawaii for conferences. Who gives a shtttt if they can give the right hand signals ca just get the call right.

OK so try this next time ....

How about play better in the second half, don't fall down with the ball and never ever make a move toward an offical and this thread does not exist Bradley did not play well in the second and Blackman played better. The kid fell down with the ball without being fouled and without question another kid made a move toward the ref walking toward the scorers table. Fact, Fact and Fact. :popcorneater:

Let's see, play better in second half; I can agree with this. Don't fall down with the ball; I can agree with this. Don't make a move towards the official; the player didn't: therefore not a fact. Escalating the debate of what happened, by suggesting the player physically did something wrong, is bad form. Because everyone was walking to where they were supposed to be. :popcorneater:

This is EXACTLY what I am saying.

And absolutely alt1958. "Escalating the debate of what happened, by suggesting the player physically did something wrong, is bad form. Because everyone was walking to where they were supposed to be." If there was even a hint of a move toward a referee, I wouldn't be on here.

Interesting note. The lead official, the one that walked right past the player, announced his retirement the day after this game.

From my understanding, the lead official was the one who called the foul. And thanks kmac for the gesture. BCHS appreciates you knowing the Bears should be there, but we can afford our own tix. :roflolk:

    • Think he would be better suited to save our baseball program. We struggle to win 5 games a year but noone wants to talk about that. Could even coach from the fence across the creek should he continue in his extra curricular activities.

Such eloquent and rosy prose, contained here in, is so seldom found amongst the more jocular subset of our species. The brilliant author behind such poetic use of an obviously deep and broad vernacular, reminds me of the other-worldly talents of Oscar Wilde. I humbly thank you, kind sir, for so generously sharing your elegantly loquacious gifts. The Goat sez: You better watch your back, Lord Byron, I’m sure poetry isn’t the only talent and passion that the author shares with Oscar Wilde.
