Coffee County Red Raiders 2012

Ok Coach T people How do you see the Red Raiders doing this year? We added a new defensive coordinator in Rick Butler. I believe that we will be running a 3-4 scheme. We have a seasoned QB in Meeker. Rozier looks to be ready to tear up the opposing defences. Does CCHS open up the play book this year and throw the ball around? Does our defence hold their own against the powerhouse teams of our district? We will see Coffee County reclaim the coveted Coffee Pot? Your input is greatly appreciated! I am hoping the fumble and turnover bug that plague them a year ago is over! They looked horrible at their first scrimmage, the second was better but still had several turnovers. Look for them to mix up the playbook alot and watch for them to try to create running room for rozier. Overall if they can keep the turnover bug down they could be in shape for a good year and hopefully they can bring the POT back to CCHS and hopefully it will be as exciting as the game was in '10.

I was beginning to wonder if anyone was going to reply to this thread lol. Yes the turnover bug must be either squashed or a lot lower than last year. If we can throw the ball around the field, that'll open up the running game for Rozier to show why he's being recruited. I was told Memphis is big on him right now. I'd love to see the kid in UT Orange but that's just my opinion lol. I don't know how much of what I read over on the Tullahoma board is true, but it sounds like that lost a lot of talented players from last year. I may be off on that but either way the Coffee Pot game should be close this year. Do we make it back to the playoffs this year? Only time will tell!

If its true about the wildcats this could be the year the raiders finally take the pot back. I believe they could be good enough to take the region, cookeville is having a qb battle, warren co from the way I take it will not contend, white co and Cumberland co are what they are.

Cant wait to see what we can do. Our DC is our third since the end of last year so I'm looking forward to the year beginning. GO BIG RED!!!

This could be a really good year for us...we got the talent we just hadn't really gotten to utilize it that much in my opinion. I hope for big things this year, but I won't set myself up for a heart break either, I do that enough with college football lol

Cumberland County is going be much improved this year. They have over 90 kids out this year

It would be nice to see some great competitve games this year for sure. I got tired of seeing some of the games where it appeared the kids gave up and didn't appear that they wanted to play anymore.

I totally agree I guess it really don't help when your fans and parents get up and leave in the middle of the game.

Who was the coaches' pick for district champ this year? Haven't heard anything about the preseason voting this year. With Warren Co being way down last year and nearly everyone else having new coaches or having lost a lot I would expect CCC to get the pick. Heard a few good things from sparta though. Haven't heard much on anyone on the boards. Any of the district teams playing in a jamboree on friday?
