Props to Centennial and congrats to Brentwood. Centennial has a very potent offense, even with a very small line. Your d-line didn't have a chance against our big guys. With the exception of line, you were the best team we have played. You must have had your head stuck in your backside against independence. Thanks for bringing us a very good game and a great crowd. I'm a little embarrassed that you guys had a much bigger crowd than we had, but we don't have much of a rivalry to bring the home crowd out.

Ps. Doesn't Green drive you crazy? That little squirt is hard to see and harder to tackle.

Actually, Owl, it does refer, technically, to football also. However, within each of the three classifications are a set of two sub classifications (1A and 2A in "A", 3 and 4 A in "AA", etc). If you think that's confusing, wait until you try to figure out the play-off system.

Too many "state championship" football trophies...but somebody makes big bucks off of it

Looked like Centennial exposed what alot of folks thought about BWood D, they don't cover the pass well. But they are clicking on all cylinders on O. Looking at the scores it seemed every game was a nail biter.

You are correct, Centennial had success throwing but actually showed good balance. Nothing like Brentwood but the run game did contribute all night, especially on two long TD drives of 80 and 75 yds. Unlike some others, CHS didn't quit when things looked bleak. They rebounded from a 27-7 second quarter deficit and closed to 34-28 with the ball to open the fourth. Credit to Brentwood for a nice interception that in essence was the clincher.

    • Could be wrong just too small of a town for word to be spread.  AC didn’t get a reward school achievement and Clinton did. My guess is that started it

    • When she starts farting around with the football team the powers in Maryville will run her out of town on a rail and everyone connected with letting her in the door. You saw what happened when Alcoa's radio announcer thought he was coming to Maryville, the people rose up and stopped it.
    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
