Coaches,

We would like to invite any teams that need or want to fill a date to Gibbs on Jan 12th, 2013 for a Dual Tournament. We have not set a price, we are seeing whom we can get at this point to fill a hole in the schedule. We would like to offer a Plaque for Top 3 Teams and an Outstanding Wrestler Award.

Seems to me like the teams that are presently attending will serve as punching bags for Gibss. Which seems somehow appropriate as an appetizer for Gibb's region schedule in which they should dispatch with with relative ease. Too bad the rest of the state is not as an inadequate as East Tn in terms of talent or coaching or else Gibbs might have a shot to win a single match at state duals or else place top 5 at the state tournament!

Not affiliated with Gibbs, but it seems to me that you have no class. Typical behavior on the internet. Anyone can be a tough guy behind a key board, big guy.

Yeah I would probably consider head coaches such as Greg Foreman (PF), Alex Cate (Seymour), Frankie Morgan (Union County), Jeff Price (The Hill), Buzzy Mann (DB), and Randy Shelton (Greeneville) "inadequate coaches" also. Even though all of those mentioned competed at the college level.

Not to mention the mediocre assistant coaches the East has just hanging around doing nothing. Like Cody Humphrey, Brett Shields, Caleb Myers, Daniel Crosby. All also with college wrestling experience.

Also in Johnson City you have one of the most winning coaches of all time in Don Elia as well as a guy named Corey Manson (You might have heard of him) helping out on the East side of the state... But they're probably not quite good enough to help anyone excel at the TN state level.

.... I believe you did not have the facts before you made that statement, bud.

There are many other great coaches in the East that I did not mention. This is just a small list of coaches that came to mind who have competed at the College level and can in no way be considered "inadequate" as a TN high school coach.
