Eagleville @ Gordonsville

Don't know what game you seen Greenback play, but the Seymour kid is fast and as slippery as I have seen. I won't tell you that he is faster than SP RB, but from what I saw Friday night, Gville don't have anyone that can catch him, he is not big but he is quick. Greenback is not big, but they are quicker at every position than the big, slow Gville team I saw play Friday night. And they are much better conditioned.

The difference is that SP was trying to get everything to the edges, Greenback will get in shotgun and spread Gville out and give it to Seymour on quick hitters and he will have a field day with those slow lineman and linebackers. Then when they sell out to stop the run, Greenback has the ability to get the pass in there behind the backers. As poorly conditioned as Gville looked in the second half Friday night, their tongues will be hanging out after chasing the Seymour kid for three quarters. Greenback may have had the best conditioned team that I saw play all year.

first of all you have no idea how gville conditions. and two greenback doesnt have the size of gville and they are not as quick as demetric johnson. so buddy you better watch what you say until the fat lady sings.

Bearden, Farragut, Maryville, Powell, Alcoa, CAK, Catholic, William Blount, Greenback, Oak Ridge, Jefferson County, Sevier County, Knox West, Knox Central, Webb, Cleveland, and I can't remember the ones that have aired on tv. We have one aired every Thursday night, but I am usually on a practice field and don't get to watch it all.

I doesn't matter to me how they condition, the team I saw play Friday night was gassed by the end of the third. That is why, I normally would have agreed with the coach going for the 2 point conversion and the win, but I would not have made that decision after I had just drove the football 99 yards for a TD, there is no way Gville could have stopped them in OT.

On the conditioning, I have not been keeping up with all of your games, but more than likely, what has happened is your team has won a lot of blowout games and the starters have not had to play a full four quarter game in a while, and then when they had to play a full four quarters, they were gassed.

The last 4 quarter game that Gville had played was Oct. 5. Before that, it was week 2. That's why they seemed gassed.

That's also why Eagleville will be unfortunate, because I think they see the starters for at least 3 quarters, and it won't be because it's close.

You said you expected alot out of Coen, and he had 12 tackles from the DT position, and you're not impressed. Oh well.

I also like our chances against Greenback. There have been some battles between these two teams in the past.

We've did well against spread teams with better athletes, so we'll see.

As far as Gville should've got beat. SP didn't really drive the ball all night until that last drive when one of our starting LB's were out the whole series. He got hurt during the offensive series before. Had he been able to stay in I think we score there and they don't drive 99 yards.

However we got it done without him, but I don't think we'll have to when we play Greenback.

We were inside the 20 three times and didn't score because of mistakes, injuries, and good defensive play from SP.

SP was inside the 20 three times and scored twice.

Because SP had a chance at the end and couldn't get the 2 pt. conversion, people think they should've won, and they forget about the rest of the game.

Good luck to you guys. I am not a Greenback fan, so I don't have a dog in the fight, just giving an opinion based on what I have seen. I think Greenback's offense and the quickness of their O line is going to give you guys big problems, they don't run these long sweeping plays where most everyone knows where the ball is coming, they are in shotgun and RB can hit inside quick, or get to the edge in a hurry.

Your offense will probably move the ball, but if you guys can't hit a pass every now and then, you will struggle. Keep in mind that they could have, if not should have, beat what will probably be the 2A champion, Grace Christian. They held Grace to 13 points, so their defense is pretty good in itself.
