District 8AA

Hey, does anyone on here follow district 8AA and if so how does it look for this spring

This Is my prediction:

 

1. Murfreesboro Central

2. Dekalb County

3. Smith County

4. York

5. Livingston

6. Upperman

7. Cannon County

 

who are some of the top players

I don't know about the rest of the district this year, but DeKalb has just barely missed the state title game for a few years straight now.

 

As for top players Cody Puckett definitely. Great pitcher for DeKalb.

It was Smith County Last year that fell one game short of the state championship game. They will have to replace their best pitcher and hitter.

 

2012 district

1. Smith County

2. Dekalb County

3. Murfreesboro

4. Livingston

 

Smith County won the district turney with Livingston finished second.

Was it 2 years ago that DeKalb and Smith were both in the final 4 I think? Either way I expect them both to make a run again this year. Still alot of good players left on DC. I don't know about next year, though. DeKalb loses alot of players in multiple sports after this year.

Hey, Tigerpride23 who are the other pitchers on Dekalb this year

2010 - Dekalb and Smith went to Final Four at State. Gibbs put out Dekalb, Spring Hill put out SC.

2011 - Dekalb went to State, won first game (Polk) , then lost next two (???). LA went to substate and Polk beat them.

2012 - Smith went to Final Four at State, Spring Hill beat them twice in Semi-Final round, then went and got beat by Goodpasture in Championship. LA went to substate and Red Bank beat them.

Thanks Wrigley, But I think this year things will be a l little different, but maybe I wrong, I do believe that Dekalb will be one of the teams to watch. I look for a few other teams to step it up this year. Do you know who made the all district team last year thats coming back.

I anticipate things to be different this year too. Dekalb is always tough, central magnet will be the team to beat I believe. Upperman will be better. LA and SC have some shoes to fill, but also some good young players. Cannon had a freshman pitcher last year that was tough. You never know. I guess that is why they don't crown the champ at the beginning of the season. Good luck to everyone.
