I did not say anything about Ryan's coaching staff being bad but if you think that they have the knowledge to compete with former college coaches ( MBA,Baylor )

you have not been around the game. They will get better as time goes on if coach Jemison can get rid of some dead weight.( regarding coaches ) as far as Kurt

Page knowing when to get out their he left because no

really wanted him to stay. Ryan believes that they are above recruiting so until they see the need they will continue to be at the bottom and you will see a dramatic fall in their other sports.

I guess BA and the rest of the "high school only coaches" should just quit now.

Ryan did lose a good coach when Jack left, but more importantly they lost somebody who the kids could communicate with. Also Jim Miller is on the staff and he played in a pretty good college program.

I believe that the downfall of FRHS began when their defensive coordinator left and went to Brentwood Academy. The last year that Jack Pittman was there the Irish went to the Clinic Bowl and were defeated by BA. Ever since then it has gone downhill.

father ryan is at the bottom of division two right now because they have horrible players and no talent on their team. they have a first year coach who has a good offensive scheme...it is similar to that of baylor and mccallie. what you need to be able to run those offenses well is a good running quarterback and good running backs with good blocking. mccallie and baylor have all of these, father ryan does not. hence, father ryan is the worst team in america this year. once they get some talent, they probably will next year with the strong parochial class coming there, coach jemison will be able to have an offense that moves the ball instead of going 3 and out every series.

    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
    • It will be hard opening up a restaurant and coaching a High School Football team at the same time but he did take this job as an interm coach to stop the bleed. The program is in scorched earth mode right now and could drop down to the likes of Scott County, Campbell County and Karns if they lose most of their kids out of this.
