Ouch. That is what I kept hearing. It's so blatantly obvious that it is sad. I still cant believe they went through with it and hired him. When was the last time he coached high school baseball? 2005? 2006? Wow ls all I can say

Doesn't surprise me honestly, as Warner has personally told me about all his challenges at G-P. Truth is, people up there just don't care anything about baseball. The feeder programs at G-P have been virtually nonexistent in years past, so Warner had the task of changing the entire culture. Sadly, it's all a political game up there, and that's hard on any coach. They also didn't get any support whatsoever from the other sports' players or coaches. No student support, and hardly any administrative support. It's impossible to ignore that.

That's true.  Although the facilities upgrades there sure have been nice.  Feeder programs are a must.

Indeed, Warner is ultimate perfectionist when it comes to his facilities. With the politics and lack of support, I just can't see him staying much longer.

Well, Josh Warner has left G-P for Easley HS in South Carolina. From my understanding, baseball is top priority down there, so he'll get plenty of support from the administration and the other sports. Sadly, some people on the outside won't realize what he did for Jefferson County and G-P until years from now.
