Goodpasture vs. Clarksville

Partsunknown, Goodpasture fans do not feel this way.  The past seasons have been a disaster with leadership from the upper classmen and coaching philosophy.  This year's senior class is very athletic and looks to be good leaders on and off the field.  Pilgrim's take on Clarksville is about the same way Goodpasture fans feel about the game Thursday.  Who will show up???  Scrimmages have shown some promise and some disaster.  Don't know if GP can score enough to beat Clarksville and don't know if the defense can stop them.  GP Fans are holding their breath going into Game 1 and hoping for a win.

This was a classic!  Goodpasture won 22-21 in a game that was a really slugfest until the final two minutes of play.  Goodpasture scored on the trap in the third to take a 14-7 lead.  The lead would last until the 3:35 mark when Clarksville tied the game at 14-14.  Goodpasture botched the kickoff and terrible punt coverage gave Clarksville a short field.  Clarksville scored again to take a 21-14 lead with 1:13 remaining.  Following a touchback Goodpasture faced a 3rd & 8 when they hit a slant and got behind the secondary for a 78 yard TD pass.  Goodpasture lined up for the PAT and thought better of it.  They rolled the dice by going to two and hit the jackpot.  The play was toss left and Wiseman surged into the end zone to give his team a 22-21 lead with less than 1 minute remaining.  Again Goodpasture had terrible kick coverage and Clarksville started in Cougar territory.  The Wildcats got all the way inside the Cougars 10 yard line when a bad snap resulted in a turnover in the game's final moments.  Goodpasture came away with a huge road win that not many expected they would be able to claim.

Clint's narrative, imbued with the ethos of resilience, navigated the tumultuous waters of the 1980s with commendable fortitude. As for the prospective successor to the coaching helm, the mention of esteemed mentor Nick Saban's absence prompts a discerning hesitation towards alternative candidates, for excellence is the sole criterion deemed worthy of emulation.  Pray, may I inquire as to your esteemed identity? Are you perchance a luminary within the domain of coaching, endowed with unparalleled wisdom and insight?
