Kermit, ya' sure know how to put a guy on the spot!!! LOL  Gleason has speed like the Rebels have not had to deal with so far particularly on the outside runs. The 'Dawgs will challenge the Rebels up front on both sides of the ball unless I miss my guess. Gleason also can throw pretty decent if they protect their QB and don't get greedy. The Rebels have proven to be strong straight ahead on offense against some.......we'll see how well Gleason can handle Bubba. 'Dawgs might be suspect against the Rebel air assault though. I believe this could be a very good game honestly. I kind of think that the 'Dawgs can handle Chavez though????

I kind of think that this one will come down to Gleason's speed vs. the Rebel passing game. You won't catch me predicting a winner in this one. But guess you can figure who I want to win. Blood runs pretty thick in our family!!!! Thankfully this is the last season for this!!!

Good Analysis, btw I put that one part in bold just to say well I guess you won't change your picture to a bulldog for a week lol

Power rankings not updated but based on last week, mighty Rebs gets the nod.  Gotta factor in the home-field advantage of 3 pts also ....

200 McKENZIE    2A     1   2   0   100.98      97.08

221 GLEASON     1A     3   0   0    68.70      93.28

If this was at Gleason, it would be a push.

Just look at it from the "can't lose" perspective, Duck. Either the grandson's team rolls along to 5-0 and gets a good test...or the 'Rebs get a great "W" against a solid team. Won't be as good on the upside as beating a hated rival, but it won't be bad unless there's a blowout...which I can't really see happening either way. Enjoy the game and keep who you're really rootin' for close to the vest!

Better have a great "positive" week of preparation. Lots of things still to get better at. and oh yeah.....Happen to the game, don't let the game happen to you.

Even though it's our 5th game, like most say it's our "first". Rebs, by far have been more battle tested.

The Rebels have had the tougher of the two schedules but the 'Dawgs have handled their schedule a lot better. Still that could translate to a Rebel advantage Friday night?????? Personally I believe it's in the Bulldogs hands to win or lose. We will see.

Played Our Two Losses Pretty Hard...Could Have Easily Been A W! Spotting Dresden 19 Wasn't A Good Idea... Edited by Butchie

tradertwo, I wish it was that simple. This will be two seasons in a row to have to deal with this practically same scenario. Based on what I know, I'd have to say that the Rebels are ahead in the Power Ranking and the 'Dawgs are ahead in the intangibles that often can't be weighed.

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
