They would be 2A. Won't be hardly any 5-5 teams make 2A playoffs. Those that may have Whitwell beat in the tie breakers.

Maybe not many wildcards, but the 2A playoffs are like the 1A playoffs. You could have a couple 3 or 4 win teams get in.

Yes, there may be couple teams that finish second in their districts that have losing records but there will be only one maybe two 5 win wildcard teams. There is a chance that there will be no 5 win wildcards make it.

Looks kike Whitwell will be in a unique situation after they win Friday night.  Do they practice to get better in hopes of making the playoffs, or what?  Interesting.

They should continue to practice and get better. Even if they do not make the playoffs they will more than likely play in a bowl game.

5-5 will give them a chance to get in the playoffs. At least they will have a chance. Much improved this year.

I agree, I think if anything else it will give the team confidence and hopefully it will spill into the offseason and they will continue to get better.

I didn't realize they had moved up to 2a until looking at the TSSAA playoff site and ranking.

I was checking out the playoff matrix to see if we had a chance of having all three teams from Marion County in the playoffs. It looks like Whitwell is eliminated because of the automatic bids underneath them in the standings from district runner ups. I would like to congratulate the tigers and the staff on a great step in the right direction. Good season guys. Will you be playing in a bowl game with someone?
