dbfanforlife
1 Maryville (surprise) 2 sevierville 3 DB or Science Hill 4 morristown east 5 DB or Science Hill 6 Powell 7 Harden Valley 8 Jeff County Remember 1st and 2 nd place district winners are seeded before wild cards , things could change in a couple weeks
osunut2
If Powell wins out, they would win 3AAA, which would bump them up to #4.
dbfanforlife
You are correct , that's why I said things could change, is Powell favored in those 3 games?
osunut2
You are correct , that's why I said things could change, is Powell favored in those 3 games? Tough to say. Starting QB suffered a knee injury last Friday, so that will likely change things. They were certainly favored against Oak Ridge and Gibbs before that injury (Campbell County was a tossup game, IMO). devilsden
How is Maryville in this quadrant when Farragut is closer than Maryville? Farragut should be in Quadrant 1 & Maryville in Quadrant 2.
AllRegion
How is Maryville in this quadrant when Farragut is closer than Maryville? Farragut should be in Quadrant 1 & Maryville in Quadrant 2. Actually, that's not true. In fact, Farragut, Hardin Valley, and Powell are all further west (closer to Quad 2) than Maryville is. devilsden
My bad. I was just looking at the mileage and didn't see the map. So I guess you just look at the east to west difference then Makes sense now. Hat to be the Clarksville team - Rossview. Right now they have to travel to Memphis to play and all the others are in Memphis.
HOOPSGURU
Powell will probably lose 2 of 3 without Owenby. Big loss at QB.

I don't think that it is strictly East-to-West when making the Quads (as there are a few outliers), but from looking at the maps, that appears to be one of the TSSAA's main criteria. You are definitely correct in that it creates some issues for teams on the edge of one Quad, such as Rossview
lefty32
Best guess/speculation after last night's games.... 1) Maryville 8) Hardin Valley 4) Mo. East 5) DB/Science Hill loser 2) Sevier Co. 7) Farragut 3) DB/Science Hill winner 6) Powell Again, just a guess based on district winners then district runner-up and then wildcard....looking at Farragut and Powell remaining games...if they both finish 6-4... Farragut may get the 6 and Powell the 7... Edited October 19, 2013 by lefty32
